These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Fuelwise mobile application (“the App”), including all features, functionality, data, content, and services provided within it. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must not use the App.
Fuelwise is a data-driven informational tool designed to assist users in locating fuel stations, comparing fuel prices, planning journeys, and receiving insights based on available data. The App is provided strictly for informational and convenience purposes only. It does not provide financial advice, commercial advice, or any form of guaranteed recommendation, and it should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decision-making.
Fuel price data presented within the App is sourced from third-party retailer feeds, including but not limited to publicly available datasets mandated by UK regulatory frameworks. While reasonable efforts are made to present accurate and up-to-date information, Fuelwise does not control the underlying data and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or timeliness. Fuel prices, station availability, opening hours, and other related data may change at any time without notice, and discrepancies may occur. Users acknowledge and accept that all data is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Any calculations, insights, or recommendations provided by the App, including but not limited to “cheapest station,” “route optimisation,” “fill now or wait” signals, savings estimates, cost projections, or trend analysis, are generated using algorithms, statistical modelling, historical data, and assumptions. These outputs are indicative only and do not constitute predictions, guarantees, or assurances of future outcomes. External factors, including market fluctuations, retailer pricing strategies, geographic conditions, traffic, fuel availability, and user-specific variables, may affect actual results. Users are solely responsible for evaluating the relevance and accuracy of any information before acting upon it.
Fuelwise shall not be liable for any decisions made by users based on the App’s content, including but not limited to fuel purchases, route choices, timing of refuelling, or reliance on displayed data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fuelwise disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, cost, or expense arising directly or indirectly from the use of, or reliance on, the App. This includes, without limitation, financial loss, loss of savings, wasted expenditure, inconvenience, missed opportunities, delays, or any indirect or consequential damages.
The App may integrate or rely on third-party services, including mapping providers, routing engines, analytics services, and infrastructure platforms. Fuelwise does not control and is not responsible for the availability, performance, accuracy, or security of these third-party services. Your use of such services may be subject to their own terms and conditions, and Fuelwise accepts no liability for any issues arising from them.
Users agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not misuse the App, including but not limited to attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works from the App; attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems or data; using automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract data; interfering with or disrupting the App’s functionality; or using the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the service.
All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to its design, layout, software, databases, text, graphics, and branding, are owned by or licensed to Fuelwise. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the App without prior written consent.
Fuelwise reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any aspect of the App at any time without prior notice. This includes changes to features, functionality, data sources, availability, and user access. We also reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App following any such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The App is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fuelwise disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fuelwise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the App. This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or loss of anticipated savings. Where liability cannot be excluded, it shall be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You acknowledge that use of the App is at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that any decisions made based on the App’s content are appropriate for your circumstances. You should exercise independent judgment and, where necessary, verify information through alternative sources.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
