For those responsible for writing and maintaining manuals, Amelia provides a streamlined system that ensures regulations are properly integrated and updated across all documents. Lidgard emphasised that the technology needs to be transparent and reliable to gain widespread acceptance in aviation. “This technology can seem less transparent than traditional programming, and we need to deliver AI people can trust,” he said. In response to these concerns, Web Manuals has designed the system to provide clear summaries of search results and to cite the exact source of every piece of information retrieved. This approach ensures that the AI is not only providing useful results but also doing so in a manner that can be easily verified by users.
